Ken Bryant, Ph.D.
Senior Vice President, North American Nutrition Companies, Inc.

Ken currently serves as senior vice president for North American Nutrition Companies, Inc. He works closely with purchasing and R&D in the development and implementation of new technologies across all brands of the company, and continues to provide technical services to domestic and international customers. Ken managed the Swine Research Farm for three years while obtaining his MS degree from the University of Florida, and was actively involved in teaching, research and extensions programs at Virginia Tech where he served as swine research coordinator for six years. His Ph.D. thesis clearly defined the need for supplemental biotin to sow breeding rations.

For two years, Ken was assistant professor in the Animal Science Department at North Carolina State University. At NCSU, he conducted research projects studying the effects of molds and mycotoxin on swine performance, while directing the state’s swine nutrition extension programs. Ken joined Akey, Inc. in 1984 and has held many positions in the Nutrition, Research and Technical Services departments. This is Ken’s second year on the QUALISOY Board. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Florida in 1976 and received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in Swine Nutrition in 1982.
