Dennis Byron - QUALISOY Board Vice Chairman
Vice President, Crop Development, Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc.

Dennis is vice president of crop development with Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc. His area focuses on germplasm improvement, hybrid-variety creation, evaluation, characterization, advancement and knowledge transfer, and transgenic trait and native trait integration in crops other than maize. Between 1993 and 2001, Dennis led the soybean research effort and served on the Soybean Product Planning Team. He became director of Oilseeds and Field Crops for Crop Genetics Research and Development in 2001, and was named vice president at Pioneer in 2002. Dennis has been with the QUALISOY Board since its formation in 2004, and currently serves as Vice Chairman. He also served two terms as QUALISOY’s secretary/treasurer, and currently chairs the Research and Development Working Group. Dennis was involved in the Technology Utilization Center Board in 2003. He earned his master and doctorate degrees in plant breeding from the University of Minnesota.
