Philip W. Miller, Ph.D.
Vice President, U.S. Technology Development, Monsanto NALAN

Philip currently serves as the vice president of U.S. Technology Development in the Monsanto NALAN commercial organization. He is responsible for overall U.S. technical product development, which includes support to the sales and marketing organizations, leadership of the field agronomy centers, testing and advancement of new germplasm, traits and chemistry pipeline products and developing and maintaining strong relationships with academic and industry influencers. Philip joined Monsanto in 1994 and has held numerous roles in the Monsanto Technology organization spanning Chemical Discovery and Biotechnology Research & Development. Some key roles include director of Biotechnology Crop Yield Enhancement and Crop Genomics research, Monsanto/Ceres Research Collaboration Lead. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the institute director of the Monsanto Mystic Connecticut Research Center and Biotechnology Corn Pipeline Strategy Lead.

Philip serves on USDA, National Institute of Health (NIH), and National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored review panels and as a scientific reviewer for numerous journals. He is the inventor on numerous patents and an author on seventeen scientific papers and book chapters. This is Philip’s first year on the QUALISOY Board. Philip obtained his Ph.D. in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Florida.
