Steve Wellman (Alternate Director)
Treasurer, American Soybean Association

Steve is a soybean producer from Syracuse, Nebraska, and acts as treasurer of the American Soybean Association. He has served on several ASA committees, including the Finance Committee as chairman, Public Affairs Committee, Audit Committee, and Investment Committee. Steve joined the Nebraska Soybean Association in 1985, and has held leadership positions of chairman, president, vice president and treasurer. On his farm, Steve grows soybeans, corn, winter wheat, and alfalfa, and also manages a cow-calf herd. He has also been an active member of the Outstanding Farmers of America, member of the Nebraska and National Corn Growers Association, Nebraska Cattlemen, and past president and vice-president of Local Cooperative. Steve serves as an alternate director for the QUALISOY Board.
