Meet the QUALISOY Board of Directors

Rich Wilson, Ph.D.
USDA Liaison

Rich serves as the USDA Agriculture Research Service (ARS) liaison to the QUALISOY Board. He previously served as national program leader of Oilseeds and Biosciences for 412 scientists and 295 projects in an integrated research program for crop genetics, molecular biology and agricultural product utilization. Richard served for 22 years as the research leader for the USDA-ARS Soybean and Nitrogen Fixation Research Unit at Raleigh, North Carolina.

Rich has received 23 professional honors and awards, and is a professor of Crop Science at Western Illinois University. He has authored more than 225 scientific publications, including 11 books, and has been invited to speak at more than 150 domestic and international meetings. Rich has been involved with the QUALISOY Board since it was created in 2004. He received master’s and doctorate degrees in agronomy from the University of Illinois at Urbana.
