With a growing consumer concern over trans fats in their food products, the need for healthier soybean oil is present. As an industry-wide coalition, QUALISOY™ recognizes your customers’ changing needs, and is working to maintain markets and the global competitiveness for your soybeans.

While soybean oil currently accounts for about 80 percent of the edible oil in the United States, some large food companies are eliminating the use of soybean oil in their products as a response to pressure from consumer health concerns and new government labeling laws. Keeping soybean oil number one is a top goal for the QUALISOY Board. In addition to helping accelerate development and commercialization of low linolenic varieties, the QUALISOY Board is working to create soybeans with increased oleic acid and reduced saturated fat traits. This gives soybeans a profile that is healthier than ever and, more important, meets the functional demands of end users.
